Friday 13th Movie

Slasher movies are time and time again a guilty enjoyment for many movie arers. Sure, they won’t reap censors’ votes. They won’t get A+ scores from the movie media. They won’t also get C scores from home-based internet experts. Slasher movies will always be scream-filled tales with meaningless plots.

But throughout the times, these slasher flicks have imprinted – excuse the witticism – a niche of their own.

A big portion of the triumph of these slasher movies can be credited to the Friday the 13th series and its 15 manifestations. Friday the 13th is a series of movies that was lead by a hockey mask-wearing psycho killer called Jason Voorhees. So well-liked is this series that it has become a staple of pop society, being mentioned in many media channels for a good segment of the newly concluded century.

In 2009, a reboot of the series will be unleashed for the movie going public to experience. Once again, fans of slasher movies and individuals who are neophyte to the genre will have face the father of slasher-premised flicks, this time reinvented for the recent generation.

Yes, Jason Voorhees is going to make a return!

This time, he won’t be battling another movie monster icon. He won’t be in space, freed from years of cryogenic deam. He won’t be fighting off the opposition of a female telepath.

In its place, we will witness, or re-witness, the birth of a serial predator. We will unearth the tale that produced a monstrosity like Jason Voorhees. We will see him terrorize the unlucky vacationers enjoying the warm waters of Camp Crystal Lake.

It’s 2009 and it’s time for another Friday the 13th!

The restore is directed by Marcus Nispel, who also directed the restore of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The movie will star Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees, with Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti playing the male and female protagonists, correspondingly.

The movie will be shown on a Friday the 13th, particularly February 13, 2009.
